ZEUS SILK SIGNS FOR MIDLANDS

Veteran amateur and semi-pro utility forward signs until 2026

We are pleased to confirm we have signed versatile forward Zeus Silk following the expiry of his contract with Dewsbury Rams for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

Zeus, who will shortly turn 27, started his career going through Hull FC’s academy system before making his professional debut in League One whilst on loan with York Knights in 2017, where he featured in their shock victory over Toronto Wolfpack during their debut season in the English leagues. Following his release from Hull FC at the end of that season, Zeus stepped away from the semi-professional game but plied his trade for West Hull in the National Conference League for several years, featuring for the famous green and gold amateurs during their 50-6 defeat to Championship outfit Swinton Lions earlier this year.

His performances in the NCL earned him a permanent contract with Featherstone Rovers for the 2024 season, where he made three appearances before signing with Dewsbury Rams until the end of the season as part of a wider swap deal. Zeus made nine appearances for the Rams this season, scoring during his debut against Championship League Leaders Wakefield Trinity.

He came through a quality system at Hull FC and after some time out excelled at West Hull leading him to be picked up by Featherstone and, just prior to deadline day, Dewsbury. 

We’re excited to give him and his family the foundation on which he can continue to grow and develop further. I’m sure Zeus will quickly become a fans favourite with the Canes faithful.”
